Introduction.

The computer science forms already part of our modern, coarse culture to observe that there are already phenomena related with her that have effects economical and socially in our relations in an important way. The computer science has worked in in a decisive way into different areas of the company|society, of the productive ones until those of consumption.

The existence of the great amount of information that is produced and is transmitted every day in the world makes necessary that him citizens develop capacities that allow them to obtain and to select the information in accordance with its|his|her|their needs and to have elements at the same time of critic analysis to appraise|value it in an every time more global context.

Our curricula of high school|school leaving certificate will have to include necessarily some studies that allow the pupil to attain the knowledge of computer science that will be necessary to him|her in back|posterior studies or to|in the university or to|in the formation|training professional from superior|upper degree. Likewise, apart from this purpose of preparation from back|posterior studies, the studies of computer science to high school graduate have to have the final goal to prepare citizens for one reality social, economic|economical and cultural. The computer science is an added value when incorporating to the my Work.

The contents of this optional one of high school graduate will have to guarantee some minimum knowledge common to all the high schools|school leaving certificates, completed with some knowledge specific to agreement to|in the modality of the high school|school leaving certificate chosen by the pupil.

With regard to the contents of the subject, we have to distinguish the modalities and other from patent medicines among some contents common to all of them for the concrete modality.

The aspects|looks with respect to contained common to all modalities that have to work sleep those which|who it make reference to notions of the components of software and hardware that they|who intervene in a computer system and the relation|relationship among these. Also the pupil has to dominate in facility the utilization of the main office automation tools, it|he|she has to have notions regarding the design and utilization of data bases, and has to know some tools for the edition of image, sound and elaboration of multimedia presentations like by exchange of information, it will also be important to make work about an every time more important aspect|look that is that of the communication and the nets of computers.

The concrete contents regarding the modality of arts and social sciences are those that make reference to the edition and make up of documents and to|in the data processing statistical. People will have to penetrate also in the utilization of multimedia software, of design of presentations and creation of animation.

Him evident that one of the methodological tools to use in this subject it is that of the resolution of practical problems, the nature of these problems will have to be set in a context to|in the concrete modality of high school|school leaving certificate.

The introduction of the computer science in the curricula of the subject of Technology at all the levels of the compulsory secondary education, the every time most evident possibility of the pupils to access easily in a computer, and the improvement in your computer endowments of the educational centers, they make think that that they arrive to first of high school|school leaving certificate will be the level of computer science knowledge of the pupils of every time best. A challenge, therefore, him to keep on adapting the level and the deepening of the curricular goals to|in this reality.

On the other hand, the computer science is one area where the changes and the improvements keep on being produced at a great speed, and therefore this subject should be capable of assuming these changes and evolving with them. If we intend to transmit some knowledge of computer science updated, it will be necessary to make work with the last tools, this will imply a constant effort of endowment and of formation|training of the teaching staff.

the idea about revision and adaptation in the face of the novelties, is one of the attitudes that the ours pupils should acquire. the pupil should attain also a critical attitude in the face of the impact of the information technology in our company|society, and a consciousness of the benefits|profits as well as also of the bad use that can be made of this technology. The computer science as a tool has to be promoted by the exchange and the understanding of the cultural diversity.

An aspect|look that we do not have to forget him the referring to the language|tongue, which he ties for us to our social and cultural reality. The need to use versions of software, in so far as it|he|she is possible, in Catalan language|tongue, as well as to know the correct terminology in our language|tongue has to be insisted on. Also the use of this in the elaboration and distribution of information about computer support has to be fostered.

With respect to the tools to to use, a resolution of the parliament of the Balearic Islands in session of the 6, 7 and 8 November of 2001 urges to|in the utilization of codes of open sources software, therefore when choosing the software about the that to make work should be prioritized the choice of software of this type.

Methodology.

The matter|subject will have a look more practical than theoretical and the teacher will devote the majority of the time|weather in this sense to advising the pupils in the practices that will be carried out along the course. In principle the different materials will be in digital format (.pdf. warehouse or. html) they will share|distribute you photocopy only of those materials that are considered more important.

At the beginning of each thematic block, the teacher will attempt to give a general vision of the application that will be using utilitzada,( if it|he|she made mistake the projection of the screen of the computer about a visible support to all pupils, with explanations and demonstrations|shows at the same time|weather) it|he|she will distribute the photocopied documentation that he|she|it considers necessary, for afterwards to go|pass to giving the pupils a listing of exercises - activities that they will carry out forming reduced groups of a maximum of two pupils in the possibilities of the classroom. It is intended with this to guarantee the general and specific goals of each thematic block.

The information technology, in general, and the computer science, in particular, disciplines of a strong instrumental character are. Therefore, he|she|it agrees on insisting a lot on the computer science as a means and not as a purpose by itself|herself. Activities of education/learning have to be thought for making the useful applications for the pupils available in other curricular areas, as well as the possibilities and new fields that he|she|it opens them. The activities have to be fundamentally practices. However, solid and clear concepts have to be based so that the pupil/to happen an intelligent user of the computer tool. That is, that he|she|it knows how to use the computer science in several situations, to choose the most suitable tool, to use the different ones made possible of research of information that gives us, to know specific software that leaves to the market, to connect the new peripherals correctly... etc.

Evaluation.

The teacher will appraise positively the assistance to the classroom and the realization of the different practices that will be carried out during the course.

They will be made, Concepts General, Managing of data bases and Nets of communications, Internet, services and applications, only 3 theoretical written tests along the course about concepts and procedures worked in the classroom of computer science.

The final note of course of a pupil will come out of the half an arithmetic of all the evidence|tests of theory together with the notes of practices that the pupil at the different didactic units obtains.

Specific tests.

1) Resolution of practices and exercises with the PC. (Maximum 2 pupils)
2) Evidence|Tests of knowledge and theory.
3) Degree of participation|shareholding in the practical sessions in group.

Criteria and Procedures of Evaluation.

1) Each pupil will have numeric|numerical notes corresponding to written tests with questions related to concepts and procedures of the didactic unit. Notes numeric|numerical of practices of group in front of the computer about the different didactic units worked in the classroom.

2) The assistance to the classroom and the realization will be appraised positively correct of the practices with the computer, individually ó in group. When a pupil overcomes the 3 mistakes not justified in a term, it|he will be able to be evaluated by each session that is missing with -0,5 points in|on the practical part of that Didactic Unit.

3) The final note of each pupil will be obtained for half an arithmetic of the notes obtained at the different Didactic Units.
